Rose, open flower heads of loose cup shaped flowers held in a cluster. Allium Roseum is a pretty allium that flowers early and bridges the gap between late spring and early summer, lovely for brightening a dull corner, flower size around 5 cm.

  • Allium Roseum is a cost effective allium, planted en masse will provide a fabulous show. These lovely allium bulbs are excellent long lasting cut flowers. Deer and Rabbit resistant.

  • Alliums are best planted in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, in a sheltered, open site. Tthey have a dislike of exposed, cold and wet conditions. 

    Allium Ursinum (wild garlic) bulbs are suitable for shade to semi shade.

    Plant smaller alliums around 8-15 cm deep with spacing of around 5-10 cm (around 75-100 per square meter)

    For larger taller varieties, plant around 15-20 cm deep with spacing or around 15-20 cm.

    Allium will grow in deep pots but use a good multi-purpose compost enriched with John Innes No.3 and grit.

    Lift and divide congested clumps after the flowers and foliage have died back.
