A friendly, family business
We’re a small and energetic family business dating back to 1958. We come from a long line flower bulb and perennial workers originating in the Dutch flower bulb area centred on the famous Keukenhof. Our bulbs and plants heritage and our determination to supply high quality for honest prices, has led to Peter Nyssen Ltd being the go-to online garden centre for quality flower bulbs and perennials for serious gardeners throughout the UK and Europe.
We supply all types of customer from the small home gardner with a window box to the professional landscaper.
Value for money
We really try to bring you the best value for money bulbs and plants online. We offer excellent quality for low prices by keeping our costs low. We don’t produce piles of expensive marketing brochures and we rarely place advertisements in magazines and newspapers. Our products speak for themselves so gardening journalists choose to write about us (which is nice!) and many of our customers come to us through personal recommendations.
We offer bulk prices for most products as well as free post and packaging for orders over £100.
We only supply good sizes of bulbs and plants and do not scrimp on quality to undercut other suppliers. That said, we do check our prices and consistently offer some lowest prices on the market.
We understand that it’s tricky to compare prices when quality is such an issue. To try to help, we always tell you a price per bulb/ plant and our package sizes are consistent across our product range. Please call or email us if you would like any clarifications or advice.
We produce a plain text catalogue once a year in June that we send to all our customers. If you are already a customer and do not wish to receive a printed copy anymore please let us know, there will be a PDF version available on the website.
We have a wonderful team of true gardening enthusiasts waiting to help you with your purchase or to give advice. Our dedicated customer service teams at both the UK and Dutch offices are on hand to offer their expertise in several languages. They are always happy for a call to discuss how to plant bulbs, what plants for shade are available or even just to bounce your garden ideas off a willing listener!
When we’re packing your orders we never substitute one product for another without your permission. Given bulbs and plants are seasonal, agricultural products, it is common for certain varieties to run out during the selling season. At check out, you can choose to allow us to replace an out of stock product with a similar one of the same or greater value. This will speed up your delivery. If you do not wish for us to make these replacements, please check the box and we will contact you in the event your products have gone out of stock.
We take every care; to ensure the goods supplied are of the highest quality, if you find any problem with your purchases please let us know as soon as possible. In the unlikely event of your consignment being damaged in transit, please sign for the delivery as damaged and advise us within four days of receipt.
Very occasionally there’s a mistake and flower bulbs can be mixed up in the supply process. In the very rare instance you find a variety has been incorrectly supplied, please send us an email and a photograph of the flowers when they bloom. This will enable us to contact the grower for an explanation. We will naturally replace, credit or refund this item.
