Plant smaller alliums around 8-15 cm deep with spacing of around 5-10 cm (around 75-100 per square meter)

For larger taller varieties, plant around 15-20 cm deep with spacing or around 15-20 cm.

Allium will grow in deep pots but use a good multi-purpose compost enriched with John Innes No.3 and grit.
