Allium Siculum Nectaroscordum, commonly known as Sicilian Honey Garlic or Mediterranean Bells, showcases exquisite flowers that resemble delicate bells suspended from sturdy stems. Each blossom features a captivating blend of cream, green, and maroon hues, creating an eye-catching display that never fails to impress visitors to you garden.

These bulbs prefer a sunny or partially shaded location in well-drained soil. Adequate sunlight is crucial for the healthy development of the flowers. Before planting, it's important to prepare the soil. Turn it over to reduce weeds and open up compacted soil. If you have heavy soil add some grit to allow for drainage.

Plant the bulbs in mid autumn, approximately 15cm deep and 20cm apart. Allium Siculum Nectaroscordum bulbs are generally hardy and can withstand cold temperatures, making them suitable for a wide range of climates. Ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged, especially during the active growth period.

As the bulbs start to bloom, you'll be mesmerized by the elegant beauty of the Sicilian Honey Garlic flowers. Their nodding clusters will sway gently in the breeze, creating a captivating dance of colors in your garden. These flowers also make exceptional cut flowers, adding a touch of sophistication and charm to your floral arrangements. As the flowers begin to die, one by one they will point upright. At this stage you can remove the heads to promote growth in the bulb for next year.

They are happy to be left in the ground. During the dormant period, it's best to avoid excessive watering and provide a layer of mulch to protect the bulbs from frost or extreme temperatures.
