Amazing Parrot - Cherry pink petals encase the burning embers of a warming fire. Orange assimilates into the crackling yellow fringed edges. Parrot tulips create this effect better than any other tulip. Their curled and feathered forms are a dramatic canvas for complex and beautiful colour blends.
In short, they are amazing.
These tulip bulbs are packed full of colour. It might be too much for some gardens but they work well as an accent amongst other colours. Particularly useful if you are looking to inject a bit of tropical intrigue into your beds.
Make sure you buy extra for cutting. The same principle applies, add to a collection of simple colours to give the display a new depth.
A late flowering tulip, Amazing Parrot will bloom in early May. Plant alongside other late flowering tulips such as Black Parrot or Queen of Night.
Plant in autumn between October and November in well draining soil. Water regularly in spring.
We recommend lifting in summer once the tulips have finished. Decorative tulips need a good size to perform well. We supply size 11/12 bulbs which are ideal for a perfect flower.
