A brilliant orange, Cairo is a Triumph tulip. On close inspection you will see a combination of fine orange and yellow stripes which contribute to the glowing presence of this garden gem.
Triumphs are hard working tulip bulbs
- Flower in the middle of spring
- 40-45cm tall
- Classic single tulip shape
- The largest range of colours
- Perfect cut flowers
- Long lasting (upto 3 weeks)
Tulip Cairo has proven itself to be a worthy perennial tulip. It will flower for a number of years. Although we do recommend removing any failing tulips after 2-3 years and replacing them.
How to care for perennial tulips
- Remove the flowers and see heads after flowering
- Let the leaves turn brown
- Remove the foliage once it has died
- Feed the bulbs after flowering and in autumn
- Remove any small bulblets to give the bigger tulip bulb more room to grow.
A large crop of Cairo will certainly give your garden a warm glow. Equally these tulip bulbs mix extremely well with other Triumph tulip bulbs, flowering at the same time.
