La tulipe hybride de Darwin Mystic van Eijk produit de ravissantes fleurs rose pâle teintées d'abricot, suspendues au bout de tiges solides au-dessus de larges feuilles lancéolées.
Particulièrement résistante aux intempéries, cette variété apportera une touche de romantisme aux bordures, massifs et pots ensoleillés dès la fin avril; y compris lorsque ces derniers sont susceptibles aux vents forts. Irrésistible plantée en masse, elle se mélange également à merveille à une vaste gamme de bulbes et plantes de printemps; nous apprécions particulièrement l'associer aux tulipes Lady van Eijk et Salmon van Eijk.

Mystique Van Eijk is a gorgeous colour, subtle shades of pastel pink drift across the petals. Naturally large flower heads owing to it’s Darwin Hybrid heritage tulip Mystique Van Eijk manages to make a bold statement with subdued colours.

What are Darwin Hybrid tulips?
Bred in the 1950s from Fosteriana tulips and Single Early tulips, Darwin hybrid bulbs are early flowering tulip bulbs. Their biggest attribute is their enormous flower. Huge cups that can exceed 10cm long.
Tulip flowers open up in the full sun, so make sure you catch this spectacle by planting them in a sunny position.
What to do with tulips after they bloom?
Darwin Hybrids are one of the few tulip bulbs that can muster up enough energy to flower successfully the following year. You can help this along by removing the seed heads after flowering. Let the foliage die back and remove once it has turned brown.
This helps the bulb store up enough starch and nutrients as it goes into it’s dormant cycle.
Not all tulips will flourish the following year and we recommend lifting tulips once they have flowered.
