Dark purple-brown with yellowish-green, the inside is softly chequered.  Fritillaria Davisii is a rare beauty, the yellowish-green marking show through the to the outside edge adding extra interest to this lovely dwarf species. The leave are bright green and held close to the ground, plant in containers, the rockery or the edge of the woodland. Named after botanist Dr. Peter H. Davis, who discovered this Fritillaria in 1940 on the peninsula Peloponnesos in Greece.
