Description
Daffodils are the name we all associate with these spring glories but the botanical genus is Narcissus. Here at Peter Nyssen we endeavour to bring the best and newest varieties at the most economical prices.

A bag of gems! The miniature daffodil and narcissus mix is a beautiful showcase of the diversity daffodil bulbs have to offer. Some are sweetly scented and others are a complex configuration of gently curling petals. Others are perfect mini replicas of the large flowering daffodils we love.

Ranging from 15cm to 30cm high, they are not ideal for naturalising in large areas however they will continue to reappear year after year. Position in pots, borders and at the front of beds. It is also worth considering using them for cutting flowers because you’ll want to make the most of these delicate flowers.

Flowering from March to late April, if you love daffodils then you can’t go wrong with this selection. We can’t guarantee what is in the mix. It depends on what we have available in the warehouse. If you want  any help identifying unmarked varieties we will be glad identify them for you.

Mixtures are a handy way of sampling lots of varieties at once. You can see what flowers you like the most and buy more for the following year.

Bulb sizes can vary, some are quite small but generally these are supplied as a 10/11 size. A perfectly durable bulb that should be planted 10cm deep in well draining moist soil. Make sure you have lots of room for roots if you are planting in a container and space them 5 cm apart.

When the flowers have finished remove any seed heads appearing and leave the foliage to die back to brown. This will ensure they will flourish the next spring season.

Try planting with other short flowering bulbs and low maintenance flowers such as muscari, iris or hyacinths.
