Perfect for the middle to back of the border, this lovely allium is perfect for planting in a prairie style border amongst grasses or mixed with herbaceous perennials.   • Alliums are best planted in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, in a sheltered, open site. Tthey have a dislike of exposed, cold and wet conditions. 

    Allium Ursinum (wild garlic) bulbs are suitable for shade to semi shade.

    Plant smaller alliums around 8-15 cm deep with spacing of around 5-10 cm (around 75-100 per square meter)

    For larger taller varieties, plant around 15-20 cm deep with spacing or around 15-20 cm.

    Allium will grow in deep pots but use a good multi-purpose compost enriched with John Innes No.3 and grit.

    Lift and divide congested clumps after the flowers and foliage have died back.

    Please note that contact with the bulb may irritate the skin cause or aggravate some skin allergies so please take care when handling.
