Papaver (Poppy) Eye Catcher

Double orange. Papaver Eye Catcher is a fabulous oriental poppy with layers of papery petals with black centre. Poppies look wonderful planted amongst grasses where the decorative seed pods add vertical interest. Cut back hard after flowering to encourage new growth and flowing in late summer. Sold in a 9cm Pot.

  • Oriental Pappies are easy to grow with eye catching papery flowers, they may be short lived in flower but their sumptuous flowers more than make up for it.

  • Plant these lovely perennial poppies (or papaver) in deep, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Once the first flush is over, cut back hard to provide a second, later flush. After flowering,cut down to ground level. Poppies are best planted at the back of the border and may need staking.
