More infoAconitum is also known as “Monkshood”. The flowers have a hooded, helmet appearance and are held on tall spikes above rich green foliage. These glorious perennial plants are ideal for the back of the border or woodland garden. Aconitum make good cut flowers although it is advisable to wear gloves when handling them as all parts of the plant are poisonous and may cause skin irritation.
Try planting with Helenium, Rudbeckia, Euphorbia or grasses like Miscanthus.
