Anchusa

These lovely Anchusa "alkanet" have long lasting flowers of deep blue turning a regal shade of purple-blue with age. The leaves are hairy and a little abbrasive. There are few perennial plants which have such a true blue. It is particuarly attractive to bees and butterflies.
