Baptisia Dutch Chocolate

Dark purple-brown. Baptisia Dutch Chocolate (False Indigo) is a lovely hardy perennial plant with upright spikes smothered in pea-like flowers which emerge from the lush green foliage. The flowers are followed by seed-pods which can add autumn-winter interest. Once established Baptisia will be draught tolerant. Mix with hardy perennial plants and dahlias in shades of maroon, dark purples, orange and reds.
