Dark purple-brown.  Baptisia Dutch Chocolate (False Indigo) is a lovely hardy perennial plant  with upright spikes smothered in pea-like flowers which emerge from the lush green foliage.  The flowers are followed by seed-pods which can add autumn-winter interest.
