Organic Cresso is an excellent biological selection. The leaves and stems of garden cress can be eaten raw. Cress is packed with Vitamin C. Cress is fast growing it take about 20 days to grow from sowing it can be sown throughout the year indoors, sow every 10/12 days for a ready supply of garden cress.
If growing in compost fill a small pot or tray with wet but not sodden compost, sprinkle the seeds over the top and lightly press down; lightly dust with a little extra compost and put on a window sill, keep the compost moist by spraying with water. You can grow cress on damp but not wet paper; you can use kitchen roll or cotton wool, you will need to keep the paper/wool moist to prevent it from drying out.
Once the plants are approx. 6 cm high cut off the leaves and use for salads, garnishing, sauces and sandwiches. Cress is a cut and come again garnish, you will be able to cut it at least four times. 10g, approximately 4000 seeds.
