Kale Westland Winter
Delivery: All year round
Organically grown seeds.
Kale Westland Winter is a shorter, densely curled variety producing delicate green leaves rich in minerals and vitamins B and C. Growing to around 40 to 55 cm, it is particularly suited to exposed locations and is highly resistant to moderate to severe frost and extremely cold conditions. Its leaves can be harvested throughout the winter months — the taste improves after frost.
Sow in seedbeds or directly in soil blocks or pots. Keep soil moist. Transplant around August in well-worked and fertilised soil. Use anti-insect nets to protect young plants against cabbage midge and cabbage root fly.
0.7g approximately 175 seeds.
