Crocus Tommasinianus

Delivery: From end August

Crocus Tommasinianus is a small lilac to purple variety with a white base, adorned with contrasting orange stamens. Amongst one of the first to flower, this charming crocus is a fantastic way to bring a welcome touch of colour and nectar to the garden and containers after a dreary winter.

Native to Eastern Europe woodlands, Tommasinianus will happily naturalise scattered in the garden border, meadow grass, rockery or light woodland edge. It looks especially wonderful mixed with other early-flowering bulbs commonly found in wooded areas such as eranthises hyemalishardy cyclamenshellebores, irises reticulata and snowdrops.

It was awarded the Garden Merit Award by the Royal Horticultural Society.
