Named after the Japanese sumo wrestler Akebono Tarō, this late-flowering variety is a fantastic way to extend the spring season. Particularly vibrant planted in bold groups, tulip Akebono also mixes well with a wide range of bulbs and plants in sunny beds, borders and containers. Did you know? Akebono means "dawn" in Japanese.
