Tulip Queensday
Delivery: From end August
Orange
The Queensday Tulip produces vibrant double orange flowers punctuated with raspberry, gold and green, suspended from the end of sturdy stems above large lanceolate leaves. Celebrating the orange costumes worn on Queen's Day (Koninginnedag) in the Netherlands, this late variety will set sunny borders, flower beds and pots ablaze from the end of April. Strikingly planted en masse, it also blends wonderfully with a wide range of bulbs and spring plants; we particularly like to associate it with a selection of pink and wine-red flowers.
The Queensday tulip enjoys excellent vase life.
